The violin in this set is from the workshop of ‘Johann Wurm’.
The violin maker handcrafted and varnished the violin. As the images show, he used beautifully flamed two-piece maple for the back, ribs, and scroll The wood displays beautiful straight annual growth rings The yellow-brown-orange oil varnish completes the picture. The instrument is characterized by a clear, bright, well-projecting sound.

Violin Schuster & Co
Resonant old violin, Schuster & Co., Markneukirchen
This violin originates from the renowned house of Schuster & Co., built around 1931, and bears a label from the well-known Markneukirchen company This violin is inspired by Stradivarius. The golden-brown varnish over a light base accentuates the strong flaming of the two-piece maple back. With traces on the varnish indicating a well-played instrument, the violin is well preserved The instrument has no significant damages and has been overhauled by us in terms of playing technique.

French Violin, Grand Prix Paris 1931
This French violin was likely built around 1920 by an unknown maker, possibly in Mirecourt The fact that even for instruments without origin information from the well-known French violin-making town, high quality standards were nevertheless upheld, is evidenced by this French violin. It exhibits both fine visual appearance and excellent musical characteristics.
There are two labels glued inside the instrument:
Januarius Gagliano filius
Alexandri fecit Neap 1770
With a handwritten note ‘Copie d’après,’ the violin maker intended to document the model’s inspiration from this master.

This is how the instruments and art objects presented at this Paris Colonial Exhibition were marked.
The violin falls in size between a 4/4 and a 7/8 This guarantees relaxed playing. But the tone is full and strong. The finely flamed maple is clearly visible through the transparent red-brown varnish. The instrument is in very good condition with refurbished playability

Violin with label "Michael Reindl in Mittenwald "
The violin with the label ‘Michael Reindl in Mittenwald an der Isar 1934′ is a work of the mentioned master There is a certificate for this instrument from Mr. Hieronymus Köstler, Stuttgart, issued in 2012.
“Michael Reindl was born in Mittenwald in 1898 and died in 1949.” He worked after various models such as Stradivari, Guarneri, and Stainer.

This violin is an Italian work by Luigi Montevecchi, built in Cesena. Back: two-piece, made of beautifully flamed maple Top: two-piece, made of wood with distinct annual rings, with a certificate from master violin maker Hieronymus Köstler in Stuttgart.

Violin with label„Hans Klotz“
The violin with label and brand stamp from Hans Klotz, Stuttgart 1956, is a very fine work by the mentioned master.
Hans Klotz was born on October 6, 1905, in Mittenwald and completed his training at the Mittenwald School of Violin Making. He worked for Dr. Eugen Gärtner in Stuttgart, and in 1936, he started his own business.
The present violin was built by Hans Klotz upon the request of a professional musician/teacher. Written documents about the construction of the instrument are still available.

Violin with label "Leonhard Maussiell "
The violin depicted below is a work by Leonhard Maussiell, built in 1724 in Nuremberg. Underneath the label, there is a burnt-in “M”.
In the books, it is written that L. Maussiell apprenticed under Matthias Maussiell in Augsburg. During his journeyman travels, his path led him to Tyrol and Italy. The highly arched instrument is typical of his work.
The old, well-aged sound has character and color.
