Cello „Markneukirchen“

A very beautiful cello, estimated to have been built around 1900. It comes from Markneuenkirchen. The piece is very well resaurated.

This cello was made in Germany. It has no label inside.

Cello Alois Sandner

Cello in mint condition. Instrument corresponds to the highest quality offered by Alois Sandner at the time.
Evenly and strongly flamed maple. The note note inside says:

Cello „Reconstruction“

The starting point for the creation of this cello was an old floor/screw, built around 1900. Guillemette Boudoux d’Hautefeuille made a moulding board and a template with the help of the base. She was able to use it to make the missing top and architrave cornice and thus create a finished

Cello „Werkstattarbeit 2023“

A so-called “workshop work” from Marion Michael’s own violin making workshop in Munich.

Cello 7/8 18.Jhd

A small cello, beech back, sides and scroll.
The top has been masterfully restored.
There are two repair notes in the instrument from different violin makers who carried out repairs in the years “1901” and “1931”. The soundboard was most probably renewed by one of these luthiers.

Cello „Meisterstück Marion Michael“

A masterpiece made by the violin maker Marion. The back, sides and scroll were made from sycamore maple and lovingly assembled. The top of the cello was made from spruce. The varnish used comes from our own production and is dark brown-red in colour. The cello was made exclusively by hand.

Sold- Old cello made of papel wood

German cello built around ~1810/1814.
The back is made of two pieces of poplar wood, as are the sides and the scroll. The varnish is a dark brown colour. The body of the cello is somewhat smaller and narrower.

String length from nut to bridge : 68 cm

Cello „Meisterstück Marion Michael 2022“

A masterpiece made by the violin maker Marion.

The back, sides and scroll were made from sycamore maple and lovingly assembled. The top of the cello was made from spruce. The cello is a custom model. The scroll is carved after a model by the scroll carver “Lafille”. The oil varnish used comes from our own production and is coloured dark brown-red. It is covered with a strong craquelure.

The cello was made exclusively by hand. As you can hear in the audio sample, the sound is balanced, full and pleasantly warm.

Cello Valentin Kaiser in Passau

This beautifully handcrafted cello has been played for years by a very good player. The instrument is therefore perfectly played.

Cello mit Zettel „Pierre Silvestre“

Cello with label : „Pierre Silvest A Lyon 1845“

Jean-Christophe Graff Luthier- Expert has created a certificate for this instrument on 28 April 2016.
He certifies that Sebastien Augustin DEROUX à Paris ~ 1890 made this beautiful cello.
He has decided in favour of the model by Guarneri del Gesu.
The oil varnish is interspersed with craquelure.

The encyclopaedia of violin making by Karel Jalovec writes about Deroux:

Deroux Sébastien August, born in Paris died 29.6.1848 in Mirecourt,. 8.9.1919. Son and pupil of Georges Deroux, worked for three years with Silvestre in Lyon and eleven years as a text editor. Became self-employed in 1884 and enjoyed a good reputation as a violin maker and repairer. Worked according to Italian models and used oil varnish.
