Cello "Markneukirchen"

A very beautiful cello, estimated to have been built around 1900. It comes from Markneuenkirchen. The piece has been very well restored.

A cello made in Germany. It does not have a label inside.

Cello Alois Sandner

Cello in mint condition. Instrument corresponds to the highest quality that Alois Sandner offered at the time.
Evenly and strongly flamed maple. The note inside reads:
Alois Sandner

Cello "Reconstruction"

The starting point for the creation of this cello was an old floor/scroll, built around 1900. Guillemette Boudoux d’Hautefeuille used the base to make a mold board and a template. She was able to use it to make the missing top and sides and thus produce a finished instrument.

Cello "Workshop work 2023"

A so-called “workshop work” from Marion Michael’s own violin making workshop in Munich.

Cello 7/8 18th century

A small cello, beech back, sides and scroll.
The ceiling was masterfully renovated.
The instrument contains two repair notes from different luthiers who carried out repairs in the years “1901” and “1931” respectively. The ceiling was most likely renewed by one of these violin makers.
Body length 72.1 cm

Cello "Masterpiece Marion Michael"

A masterpiece made by the violin maker Marion. The back, sides and scroll were made from sycamore maple and lovingly assembled. The top of the cello was made of spruce. The lacquer used comes from our own production and is dark brown-red in color. The cello was made exclusively by hand.

For sale- Old cello made of poplar wood

German cello Built around ~1810/1814.
The back is made of two pieces of poplar wood, as are the sides and the scroll. The varnish is dark brown in color. The body of the cello is somewhat smaller and narrower.

Scale length : 40 cm
Carcase width bottom: 42 cm
Vibrating string length from nut to bridge : 68 cm

Cello "Masterpiece Marion Michael 2022"

A masterpiece made by the violin maker Marion.

The back, sides and scroll were made from sycamore maple and lovingly assembled. The top of the cello was made of spruce. The cello is a separate model. The scroll is carved according to the pattern of the scroll carver “Lafille”. The oil varnish used comes from our own production and is dark brown-red in color. It is covered with heavy craquelure.

The cello was made exclusively by hand. As you can hear in the audio sample, the sound is balanced, full and pleasantly warm.

Cello Valentin Kaiser in Passau

This beautifully handcrafted cello has been played for years by a very good player. The instrument is therefore perfectly tuned.

Cello with label "Pierre Silvestre"

Cello with label : “Pierre Silvest A Lyon 1845”

Jean-Christophe Graff Luthier- Expert issued a certificate for this instrument on April 28, 2016.
He certifies that Sebastien Augustin DEROUX à Paris ~ 1890 built the beautiful cello.
He has opted for the Guarneri del Gesu model.
The oil varnish is interspersed with craquelure.

The encyclopedia of violin making by Karel Jalovec writes about Deroux:

Deroux Sébastien August, Paris Born 29.6.1848 in Mirecourt, d. 8.9.1919. Son and pupil of Georges Deroux, worked for three years with Silvestre in Lyon and eleven years with Miremont. Became self-employed in 1884 and enjoyed a good reputation as a violin maker and repairer. Worked according to Italian models and used oil varnish.
